Guess Who’s Back

Mahogany woke up in Trip’s beautiful queen-sized bed and took a look around the room and smiled. She could get use to this; the only thing missing was Trip. She had a full day planned for her and the girls, and was very excited that they would be spending the day doing some shopping and bonding. She was enjoying the feeling of having a family away from home. The twins welcomed her and loved her unconditionally just like their father, and she couldn’t imagine a life right now without them in it.

She lay there for a minute rubbing her hand across Trip’s side of the bed. She rolled over and lay on top of his pillow. She could still smell his cologne on it. She closed her eyes and visualized his face. She missed him so much, it hurt to think about him being gone. She glanced at the screen on her cell phone hoping to see a text message or missed call notification from him. Where is he, she thought. Usually, he would have given her a wakeup call or text by now. “Maybe, he is tied up,” Mahogany said to herself, remembering the time difference between them.

“Well, I can’t lay here all day,” she said to herself. She dreaded leaving the plush bed; it was so comfortable, but she promised the girls a day of fun and fun they would get. She headed towards the shower, making a quick stop to the vanity where she grabbed a hair tie to pin her hair up in a French roll style. She hummed the tune to Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely,” as she stepped into the Italian marble shower and turned on the shower head. She had just lathered her body with her favorite country apple scented body wash, when Aniyah barged into the bathroom.

“Mahogany, please come quick! Mahogany, help please! I need your help; I need you to come quick.”

Mahogany’s heart began racing. “Aniyah, okay, baby. Hand me my towel. Is everything okay?” she asked completely frightened. Aniyah didn’t respond, she just quickly grabbed Mahogany’s wet hand and was pulling her through the house and down the stairs. Mahogany had managed to keep one hand on the knot she had tied in the towel so that she didn’t expose herself to Trip’s huge staff. Aniyah swung open the front door as the rest of the staff quickly followed behind to see what all the chaos was about.

Mahogany was in total shock at what she saw. Her jaw dropped and the towel she had been so desperately trying to hold up, followed suit. She was in such a shock that she didn’t even realize she was now completely naked. The staff covered their eyes and Aniyah giggled, but Mahogany still was frozen in her tracks at what she was seeing. There stood Trip in front of a red Maybach with a beautiful gold bow on it and dozen roses in his hand.

He quickly ran over to Mahogany, who was still frozen in complete shock, and picked up her towel.
